MetOp-SG-A1 Satellite successfully launched with key contributions from KONGSBERG
The MetOp-SG-A1 satellite, developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and EUMETSAT, has been successfully launched aboard the Ariane 6 rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (‘KONGSBERG’) contributed critical onboard mechanisms and electronics to the satellite, as well as components for the launch vehicle, continuing its long-standing role in Europe’s most important institutional space programs.
