Proud to Shape the Future at Kongsberg Agenda
As a partner of Kongsberg Agenda, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace actively contribute to shaping Norway’s and the Nordic region’s most important technology festival—where people and technology come together to drive change. Together with other partners, we help set the national agenda for technological development and will contribute with our expertise and solutions to create a better future.
Kongsberg Agenda is a technology festival that boldly, playfully, and curiously challenges and defines the debate on technology and value creation. "Geopolitical Uncertainty & Technological Development", Agenda Kompetanse
How can we ensure national production capacity, technological sovereignty, and competitiveness in a rapidly changing global landscape? What does it take for Norway to maintain its position in a new world order where supply security and innovation are increasingly critical? In a world marked by rising geopolitical uncertainty and rapid technological advancement, Norwegian industry faces both challenges and opportunities. To understand what is at stake, we must examine how global power dynamics affect everything from supply chains to access to critical raw materials. At the same time, technological advances such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, and automation are accelerating the transformation of Norwegian industry. Maintaining industrial resilience requires strategic investments and close collaboration between government, academia, research institutions, and the private sector.
"What is Export Control and Why Does It Matter?", Auditoriesalen, Bergseminaret
Export control regulations govern the sale of defence equipment and other advanced technologies. This session provides a practical overview of what the rules entail and what to consider when working with goods, services, or technologies subject to export control. The seminar is relevant for all suppliers to the defence industry, as well as anyone working with advanced technology in academia, industry, or other sectors.
"The Future of Manufacturing – Frameworks & Growth", Agenda Kompetanse
National production capacity has regained relevance and now plays a central role in both political and industrial discourse. This panel discussion looks ahead to the future of manufacturing: How can political instruments and regulatory frameworks support profitability and sustainable growth—or potentially hinder development? Industry leaders and political stakeholders will share their perspectives on the strategic actions needed to strengthen Norway’s manufacturing capabilities in an increasingly complex global environment. How can we enable growth and innovation while navigating global challenges and meeting national ambitions? What must be in place for Norwegian industry to remain resilient in a changing world? Through a dynamic discussion, the panel will explore how political priorities and economic tools can reinforce national production while addressing the need for a more sustainable and robust supply chain. The collaboration between government and industry is critical to developing competitive solutions, and the panel will highlight concrete measures required to leverage Norway’s advantages—from technological expertise and skilled labour to natural resources and innovation capacity. The goal is to present diverse viewpoints on how Norway can navigate a new geopolitical reality, where security and value creation must be balanced to ensure a future-oriented industrial base.
"New Study Programme for Future Operations Leaders", Agenda Kompetanse
In a time marked by geopolitical tensions and rapid technological change, it is essential that Norwegian industry has leaders capable of turning strategy into action. The launch of the new Executive Operations Management programme, a collaboration between the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) and Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, marks a significant step toward educating the next generation of operations leaders. The programme aims to provide academic depth, practical tools, and a forward-looking perspective to strengthen the competitiveness of Norway’s manufacturing industry.
