Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies AS (KOGT), a leading provider of real time data-capture and data aggregation services announces today (June 12 2013) that it is cooperating closely with Dynamic Graphics Inc. (DGI) a premier innovator of analytical visualization software, to provide Oil and Gas operators with significant enhancements to their key workflows.
KOGT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG), offers a range of high performance information technology solutions for drilling operations focused on getting the right data to the right people at the right time, to make critical efficiency and safety based decisions. DGI is the recognised expert in providing solutions to spatial analysis problems through the co-visualisation of data essential for understanding the relationships between these complex time-varying data sets.
Ben Lovell, VP Sales & Marketing for the Software division in KOGT, comments: “We have been discussing how we can enhance some of the key workflows that we have developed with our clients and DGI already has many solutions in place so working closely with them in this area is going to be very exciting.”
Art Paradis, President of DGI, states: “Our company’s innovative 4D visualization capabilities will bring significant insight to the drilling community, which now has access to far more data than was previously available. Rationalizing this data is a challenge so 4D visualization can add value to the decision making process. Our technology reveals hidden complex relationships, clearly communicates these relationships and provides an ideal platform for reaching better high value operational decisions.”
Tamara Paradis, General Manager of DGI, adds: “Together, DGI’s visualization and KOGT’s real-time solutions will bring data directly into the drilling operations, allowing analysis and visualization of these time-varying or real-time spatial data sources.”
Both KOGT and DGI share a common interest to advance drilling domain data analysis to maximise the value that can be provided by real-time data. By combining their strengths KOGT and DGI aim to provide a significant step forwards in cross discipline collaboration and the understanding of complex inter-related data sets.
