This position will lead the day-to-day operations at our Lynnwood office in rhythm of the business as a right hand to the President of Kongsberg Underwater Technologies, LLC (KUTL).

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Operations Manager supports the President of KUTL in driving organizational objectives and maintaining alignment with stakeholders to ensure clarity across the organization. They will manage and supervise functions related to operations, warehouse/supply chain, human resources, QHSE, facilities, and IT. They will be the day to day lead responsible for the connections across the delivery organization and finance including project management, customer support, engineering, and compliance to ensure internal processes are followed and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The Senior Operations Manager will manage gaps and resolve cross-departmental gaps and conflict; support the staff and their teams interpret, understand, and carry out the President of KUTL’s strategic vision and intent. In addition, this position will help the leadership team prioritize projects and business impacts so that each team is moving forward with only the most important work. They will also manage business rhythms such as leadership meetings and internal processes.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of operations to ensure smooth progress and operational excellence as Kongsberg Underwater Technology LLC grows in both size and complexity.
  • Assist President of KUTL in developing and directing special projects and operations that align with strategic business direction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and connect the dots between teams to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and collaboration by providing insights that help drive continuous improvement in our product, process, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the advocate and change agent where current processes do not support our needs.
  • Own action-item tracking and follow-through to resolution (planned, progressed, completed) to communicate status, risks, and opportunities. Work closely with the executive team to track business objectives, clear milestones, deliverables, and planning calendars.
  • Build and maintain metrics and KPIs that measure operational performance in sales planning, process, and effectiveness and hold team accountable to those metrics.
  • Drive cadence of the leadership team (leadership meetings, goals, annual planning, etc) and facilitate alignment on key issues and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Demonstrable Project Management and/or Operations skills and experience preferred.
  • Structured mind-set and work methodology, with the capability to understand and drive highly diversified tasks and resources.
  • Dependable to take complete ownership of their projects.
  • Enthusiastic and driven to not only complete their projects within time, scope, and cost, but to do so in a way that aligns with the values and mission of Kongsberg.
  • Takes initiative at their level to make decisive decisions that align with the overall strategic mission of KD Programs.
  • Committed and reliable with steadfast integrity.

  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with other departments, product centers, regional offices, outside vendors, customers, and end users.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a benefit.

 

Pay Range: $115,000 – $155,000 annually (DOE)

Work Location: Lynnwood, WA (may have the opportunity of 2 days remote within commuting distance to Lynnwood)
