Seamless steering and control for every voyage

The Autopilot M100 delivers optimal steering and speed control, regardless of sea conditions or vessel load. Its modular design minimises onboard infrastructure requirements and lowers installation costs. Key features and advanced functions include:

  • One control system for all sailing conditions
  • Automatic switching between transit and manoeuvring modes
  • Tight integration between navigation and manoeuvring controls
  • Flexible operator stations
  • Optional all-speed functionality for heading and speed control from zero speed
  • Optional advanced motion prediction throughout the speed range
  • Touchscreen display showing planned turns and monitoring of vessel position 

Main functions and modes:

  • Fixed course mode: Designed for precise course keeping at speeds above 5kts
  • Track pilot mode: Provides precise control of the vessel along a pre-planned, validated, and monitored route with compensation for environmental impacts. Track pilot requires integration with K-Bridge ECDIS
  • Speed pilot: Automates control of vessel speed. The set point can be entered manually, or it can be taken from the K-Bridge ECDIS route definition for an advanced ETA pilot

Optional advanced functions and modes:

  • All-speed pilot: An add-on capability lets heading and track control functions work seamlessly throughout the vessel’s complete speed range using control algorithms valid at all speeds – making it possible to sail narrow passages without disengaging the autopilot or track pilot controller
  • Auto Crossing: Automatically controls the vessel along a pre-planned route using a pre-defined speed profile. Auto Crossing is designed for vessels, such as ferries, that follow fixed routes with tight schedule requirements
  • Auto Docking: Precisely controls a vessel in a defined docking/departure pattern  
  • Motion prediction: Enables the operator to display predicted and past vessel positions for improved situational awareness during manoeuvring
  • Joystick control: Simple and intuitive vessel positioning/manoeuvring control at low speed by joystick controlling all thrusters. Joystick control requires integration with Joystick M50
  • Station-keeping: Maintains a vessel’s position. Operators can easily change position and heading through the display. Station-keeping requires integration with Joystick M50

Integration with the Mcon control system

  • The Autopilot M100 can be integrated with the Mcon propeller and thruster control system. Both the M100 and Mcon systems share the same touchscreen display for smooth transitions between manual and automated vessel control.
