Simrad ES60 Display modes
This page provides you with three typical Simrad ES60 Single beam display presentations. All are screen captures taken during fishing in the North Sea.
Single frequency, single beam
This screen capture shows a single frequency, single beam configuration.
Observe the clarity and resolution only known to the Simrad ES60. The Microsoft® Windows XP® operating system makes the ES60 very easy to use, and it allows you to configure the screen the way you want by simply rezising the different windows to suit your needs.
Dual frequency, single beam
This screen capture shows the Simrad ES60 used with two operational frequencies simultanously.
The most common dual frequency configuration is the 38/200 or 50/200 kHz systems using the Simrad Combi transducers. However, any two frequencies can be chosen to maximize the performance of your fishery echo sounder. The two frequencies can be operated completely independent with settings like gain, pulse length and range set individually. Later, you can add on as many frequencies you want, and you can display up to four frequencies at the same time. The flexibility of the ES60 is nearly endless. You can start with a small system, and add frequencies and more power as your fishery develops.
Shallow water fishing
This screen capture shows the ES60 set up for shallow water fishing.
In shallow water fishing or fishing close to the surface you need a transducer that covers a wide area. The Simrad Combi W is such a transducer. It can be interfaced with the Simrad ES60 making it the perfect shallow water echo sounder. This configuration is particulary popular among scallop and mussel draggers, as the resolution on the ES60 is extremly high, and presents all the bottom details that you need. The ES60 can also output the bottom data on an ethernet line to bottom hardness systems capable of process such information.
