Energy Storage Unit's modular design enables cost-effective, scalable solutions. The sealed cabinet's liquid thermal management system cools battery cells safely and efficiently to deliver the application's calculated lifetime.

Pre-assembled sections make installation easy. After the cabinet structure is in place, modules can be easily mounted to avoid heavy lifting and damage during ship construction. The cabinet protects against foreign objects and water.

Battery Management System and Active Balancing

The Battery Management System (BMS) is designed for maritime use. Voltage, temperature, and current are monitored and logged. Our redundant safety controller monitors temperature and has an independent safety shutdown. The BMS has active balancing for optimal energy storage and battery life.

Safety

Our Energy Storage Unit uses multiple safety barriers. Safety systems prevent thermal runaway in single or multiple cells.

Passive heat isolation, active air and liquid cooling control propagation. No flammable or toxic gases are vented into the ambient space, but to open air or a safe location with an independent ducting system.

First, passive heat insulation between battery cells prevents thermal runaway. The second barrier is an automatic air-cooling system that prevents cell-to-cell propagation.

The third barrier is a water-cooled system that prevents module-to-module propagation. This multi-barrier safety approach makes our energy storage system safe for maritime use.
