Simrad EK Mission Planner
Use the EK Mission Planner to plan an autonomous mission from deployment to recovery.
This mission planner is a planning and programming tool for autonomous echo sounders such as Simrad WBAT and Simrad WBT Mini. You can set up all necessary parameters related to "wakeup" and "sleep" times for the echo sounder, as well as transmission modes, intervals and other parameters.
After you have planned the deployment carefully, all settings are uploaded to the transceiver.
In addition to running a predefine schedule, you can use "interactive mode" in the EK Mission Planner to control the transmissions from an external source such as an on-board controller. "Interactive mode" also enables reading of key information such as mean volume backscattering strength in layers in real time.
The EK Mission Planner is a dedicated mission-planning tool with tailor-made functionality.
A ping group defines ping parameters, such as frequency, power, pulse type and pulse duration.
Ping Group Library
The ping group library contains a collection of your personal ping groups defining what the transceiver shall do when it "wakes up".
A phase defines the time and interval the transceiver will wake up during a deployment period. A mission plan must contain at least one phase. At certain intervals within a phase, the transceiver will wake up and record data as specified in the mission plan. Normally, one phase is sufficient.
An ensemble is a collection of one or more ping groups from the Ping Group Library. In an ensemble, it is possible to select several ping groups, for example one for "active" CW followed by "active" FM and then a "passive" CW ping. An ensemble can be run a set number of times or for a certain period.
