Through the last 25 years the KONGSBERG Seapath GNSS/INS product family have set a standard for position and attitude performance. Through the cooperation with a wide customer base, and their request for new and improved functionality, KONGSBERG have continued to develop the Seapath family. The data recorded from the survey on German inland waterways, clearly shows how the end user struggle with GNSS outage when passing under bridges. The cooperation between the end user and manufacturer in this case gives an overall performance gain for all river surveys needing accurate position and attitude data when passing under bridges.

This presentation describes how cooperation between end user and manufacturer improves overall functionality. Tests on German inland waterways are used for demonstrating the performance improvements.
