Executive Vice President Space and Surveillance
Ingelin Drøpping is Executive Vice President of Space and surveillance, a division in Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, a Business Area within Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG).
The Space and surveillance division comprises a substantial part of Norway’s space industry with long term customer relationships to the industry’s global partners and institutions. The division contribute to important space based infrastructure and services that underpin important task in our society like safety at sea, capturing weather data at our unique locations at Svalbard or space exploration missions.
Mrs. Drøpping joined KONGSBERG in December 2018. Prior to joining KONGSBERG she has served as Senior specialist within the Norwegian Defence Communication and Data services (NODECA now FLO-IKT) , followed by a 16 years career in Telenor holding several of VP positions developing Telenor’s mobile business and digital ambitions. Mrs. Drøpping left the VP positon for connectivity and digital portfolio services as part of the executive management of Panasonic Avionics to join KONGSBERG.
In addition to corporate positions, Mrs. Drøpping has more than 15 years of experience holding various directorships in boards of both national and international technology businesses. She is also recognized among Norway’s top 50 female technology leaders.
Mrs. Drøpping holds a M.Sc. in computer science (siv.ing) from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Executive MBA from Stockholm School of Economics. Further, executive education at Harvard and London Business School within Change management and leadership.
