Øyvind Kolset

Øyvind Kolset is the Executive Vice President of Missile Systems for Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, a business area within Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (KONGSBERG).

Kolset joined Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace in 1998 as a project engineer in the development team of the Naval Strike Missile. Throughout his career, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in various programs as principal engineer, specialist, technical lead and program director. Kolset has experience from both development and delivery of complex programs with customers ranging from Asia to USA.

Kolset graduated in 1994 from Buskerud University College, Norway, with a BSc in Electronics. After serving in the Norwegian Armed Forces, he continued his education at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where he received a MSc in Computer Architecture in 1998. He later specialized in management of complex development programs and contributed in lectures and master’s theses on these topics in collaboration with NTNU.
