Instructor

Step into the role of Senior Instructor and become a valued member of our experienced team. In this position, you'll help deliver essential training that keeps our business moving forward. You’ll work alongside skilled colleagues, ship owners, and oil majors, focusing on helping our clients meet the industry’s competency standards. You’ll be involved in delivering courses, developing new training material, and working closely with others to keep our programs up to date and effective.

What you will be doing

  • Course deliveries.
    Our courses are delivered both on site using a full-mission Kongsberg Simulator and remotely, with instructors operating simulators at facilities around the world
  • Course development.
    The whole of our course portfolio is under constant development reflecting the training needs of our clients. The changes may reflect new incidents or new requirements from the stakeholders in the market.
  • Participation in projects.
    Kongsberg provides consultancy services to a diverse range of offshore clients, offering specialized maritime expertise whenever it is needed.
  • Understand client needs.
    As an operative training instructor, you may be required to assist KM clients together with their own field expertise.

You must have the following qualifications and experience.

  • Background as a Maritime Officer
  • Hold or have previously held a COC/Deck Officer Certificate Class 1, and holding a valid DP Certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years of Shuttle Tanker Experience
  • Good communication skills in English both oral and in writing

What we think you Schuld have.

  • Background from various types of DP vessel/operations.
  • Broad knowledge of ship handling without Dynamic Position, example Ship to Ship Lightering, Harbor operation.
