Aftermarket Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Aftermarket Sales Manager to lead our efforts in the Cruise Market Segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales activities, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction for all aftermarket products within our portfolio. The role requires a strong understanding of our products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams within the organization.

 Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive proactive GCS Sales activities tailored towards dedicated customers within the Cruise Market Segment, in collaboration with the responsible product group
  • Ensure seamless coordination of customer meetings and activities to present GCS products and services effectively.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies per customer to enhance product recognition and promote campaigns, service letters, system upgrades, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Perform maintenance planning activities for customers, coordinating with spares, technical support, sales support, and aftermarket product sales teams.
  • Secure service agreements for strategically important customers, with approval from GCS Top Management.
  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction, serving as the primary escalation point of contact for customer concerns.
  • Act as the main contact person for defined customers, facilitating communication and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate departments or individuals within our organization.
  • Prepare commercial proposals for new functionalities, modifications, and retrofit/refit/conversion solutions in line with KM product lifecycle philosophy, particularly for CAT-1 & CAT-2 projects.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customers' fleets and operations to proactively offer relevant products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with departments in GCS Sales and Global Sales & Marketing to ensure effective communication and alignment of strategies.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations based on market analysis and customer feedback.
  • Manage and update customer information in the CRM system to ensure accurate records and effective relationship management.
  • Ensure adherence to the 'Align Process' and report on agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regularly.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Projects and initiatives to drive sales growth in the aftermarket.
  • Travel as required to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support business activities.
  • Additionally, as the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for CRM duties towards defined customers as per the GCS Customer responsible list.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in aftermarket sales or a related field, particularly within the Cruise Market Segment.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, customer relationship management, and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
