Project Local Hawk

Local Hawk is a thrilling project centered around drone technology, operating within our business area Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. Previous years have seen us focus on mechanical drone construction and software development for autonomous landing and take-off.

As part of this internship, you'll embark on an extensive exploration of various hardware and software configurations aimed at enhancing processing power, accuracy, and energy efficiency. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of Local Hawk, working on a wide range of components including aircraft bodies, sensors, radio links, navigation systems, autopilots, platforms, communication protocols, image processing, user interfaces, and risk analysis.

Managed as a genuine project with dedicated managers, architects, and expert groups, Local Hawk provides a supportive environment where experienced mentors will guide you. While summer goals are predetermined, you'll have the autonomy to craft project plans, set individual objectives, and monitor progress towards meeting deadlines.
