LocalHawk is a summer project in KONGSBERG. Within seven weeks, twenty students from different technological branches shall resolve the complex technological task of developing a prototype of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of identifying and tracking objects on the ground. This involves developing sub systems such as software, sensors, object detection algorithms, power design, route planning, airframe design, and building the prototype. Through the design, development and test phases, students are supported by highly skilled and experienced KONGSBERG engineers.
The students will experience how it is to work as an engineer in KONGSBERG, and the project is run like a "real" project, with its own project manager and system architects . As a member of the team you will develop both your technical skills and your ability to cooperate and make plans in order to finalize a product by a given deadline.
