The production management system will provide real-time flow assurance and virtual flow metering functionality and will be built using Kongsberg Digital’s K-Spice Dynamic Process Simulation Platform and the LedaFlow Advanced Transient Multiphase Flow Simulator. Look-Ahead and Planning/Training modes are included, and the model scope covers all wells, flowlines and reception facilities to ensure a fully integrated dynamic solution.

Mike Branchflower, Global Sales Manager for Flow Assurance in Kongsberg Digital, says: “Flow Assurance is a critical concern for Deepwater Gas Fields. Our PMS technology is designed to enable better decision making in the shortest timeframe possible to maximize production, improve safety and minimize the impact on the environment.”

Andreas Jagtøyen, Senior Vice President Energy, Kongsberg Digital adds “Kongsberg Digital is delighted to have signed this important contract with Aker Solutions and hopes that this will lead to increased cooperation in the future. We are also looking forward to supporting CNOOC in the operation of the Lingshui 17-2 PMS in the years to come. China is one of the largest oil and gas producers in the world and we expect more deliveries to this important market going forward.”

The project has already started and will be delivered in 2020.
