Another Successful User Seminar

On Wednesday 17 June Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies held its 15th user seminar, in Tønsberg, Norway and with more than 120 participants, this year’s seminar was the best attended yet.

"We were lucky to be visited by an Indian delegation of over thirty senior executives from the company, ONGC, which is the equivalent of Statoil in Norway,” says Peter Grindem. “This helped to make this year’s seminar a record in terms of attendance numbers. At the same time, we had a good range of participants and many other companies were represented," says Peter Grindem, Sales Manager - MENA, Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies. The packed seminar schedule included lectures and presentations on K-Spice, Valmue, LedaFlow, SIM Reservoir, Best Practice Recommendations for Life Cycle Simulators, Production Management System and Overall Flow Metering System, and Use of the Dynamic Simulator at Kårstø.“Based on the feedback we got from participants, this was a good, academic and complex program. We focused on what the majority of attendees wanted to hear about and it turned out to be popular mix,” adds Grindem. The Indian delegation, which comprised 33 senior executives from ONGC, was on a study tour of Norway as part of the company's Senior Management Programme 2010. They were in Norway to learn about the Norwegian oil and gas technology, so joining us at the user seminar was definitely the right place to be!Aditya Johri, a Production Engineer at ONGC commented: “I think we can have a lot of interaction when it comes to subsea operations, deep water drilling and environmental issues. It’s in these areas that Norwegian technology can be useful for us.”ONGC is not currently on the KOGT customer list but the seminar was a great place to show the Indian delegation exactly what we can do and how we can benefit their operations.“I think we absolutely are closer to ONGS as a client and it will be interesting to follow up,” concludes Grindem. The link to the User Seminar agenda and list of Speakers can be found below.Agenda
