Technical Support (Control Systems)

We are currently looking for a high-performing person for the position of Technical Support. The role will be based in Kongsberg Maritime - Product Service Center, Gdynia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle technical support related cases from internal and external customers, including cases escalated from first line of support.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Seek advice from more experienced colleagues on high complexity issues, while maintaining responsibility of the case.
  • Assist L3 technical support in gathering case information and maintaining the customer dialogue.
  • Support first line support team during periods of leaves (might include shift work).
  • Continuous improvement and development of the process related to providing technical support.
  • Support and collaborate with different engineering teams.
  • Be a point of contact for colleagues from other KM sites in technical aspects of new tasks.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (automation, robotics, mechatronics).
  • Relevant specialist product knowledge and expertise (propulsion control systems, like Canman, Newman, MCON).
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Competency within hydraulics as an advantage.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and act on own initiative.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Structured, reliable, good in networking and with collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM system is considered as an advantage.
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD systems is considered as an advantage.
  • Awareness of own strengths and limitations and pursue learning and career development opportunities.
