Technical Advisor

We are currently seeking a Technical Advisor to strenghten our team further. As our Technical Advisor, you will work closely with internal employees and external customers from around the globe.

What You’ll Do:

  • Technical support and assistance towards internal and external customers
  • Follow-up and assist service engineers with technical support and solutions
  • Any ad-hoc task/assignment from time to time
  • Be part of the 24/7 duty phone support team
  • Assist with planning and coordinate service engineer’s assignments
  • Be a contact point towards the different product departments

What You Bring:

  • Certification in Electricians Group L (Low Voltage) is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field is a bonus.
  • Experience with automation systems, drives, and protection relay test equipment is an advantage.
  • Field experience with maritime electrical systems or similar industries is valued.
  • Knowledge of software programming is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English both oral and written.

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.

You will be part of the Global Customer Support division who is responsible for Kongsberg Maritimes services, upgrades and support in the aftermarket. Our 2300 employees are present in 35 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime of more than 30.000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient delivery of services, upgrades and spare parts in order to secure availability and predictability to our customers.

Energy Support, delivers switchboard and switchgear for high and low voltage installations, drives for applications for all types of vessels. Our projects are based on Service, Commissioning, upgrading and replacement of KM and other makers, Integrated Automation and Control Systems on vessels worldwide.
