Software Engineer Topside R&D

To meet an exciting and sustainable future, we are seeking a topside software engineer to help develop products for underwater positioning and communication.

Our world class products are used in a wide range of subsea operations such as deep-water research, subsea installation, AUV, USV and mapping surveys including products such as HiPAP, cNODE, HAIN and other complementary sensors.  

What you will be working on

You will be joining a dedicated group of software engineers mainly developing client/server applications for acoustic positioning and communications systems. We are strengthening the team and are looking for software developers eager to make a difference.

You will be working on the development of topside application software. On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in software system design, specification, development, implementation, and test. You will also contribute to real life testing of the product onboard our research vessels in Horten.

Qualifications and experience 

  • B.Sc / M.Sc in software programming, electronics or similar
  • Some years' relevant experience is preferable, but recently graduated will also be evaluated 
  • Passion for software development
  • Programming in C++, C#, TypeScript, .NET Core and Angular
  • Experience working with web technology creating client / server applications communicating using REST and WebSocket
  • It is beneficial with experience within software architecture, remote operation, networking and cloud infrastructure.,
  • Fluent in both Norwegian and English
  • You are cooperative, responsible, and quality minded.
  • It is beneficial if you have experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
