Senior Sales Manager - Uncrewed Platforms (Defence, EMEA)
The Defence market is rapidly expanding its use of uncrewed systems. Kongsberg Discovery AS (KD) is leveraging our market leading systems to further penetrate this key market. This is your chance to be a part of a dynamic team creating opportunities for our products within the Defence ministries of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
This position will report to Vice President Sales, Uncrewed Platforms and will collaborate heavily with our Defense Capture Team. Utilizing your extensive experience in naval warfare and the use of uncrewed systems, you will be responsible for the following sales activities:
- Sales and promotion of KD’s products, solutions and services, with emphasis on Uncrewed Platform products and systems including but not limited to:
- HUGIN family of AUVs
- KD USV Systems
- Specific market and/or regional responsibility:
- Defence segment in the Europe/Middle East/Africa region (EMEA)
- Develop detailed market analysis, including identification of significant programs and development of comprehensive capture plans
- Participate in and lead Defence related bid proposals in response to formal tenders
- Presenting Uncrewed Platforms products and services at industry events, and in traditional print media and social media output
- Coordinate and collaborate with KD Defence Capture Team, KM, KDA and KDI as appropriate for defense related sales activities in the region
Qualifications and experience
- Higher technical education, minimum at Bachelor level in a relevant technical discipline or relevant Naval background could be considered as a substitute for a formal degree
- Preferably a minimum of 5-years of experience in a NATO or allied navy
- Experience in undersea warfare or the use of uncrewed platforms in Defence applications is a plus
- Experience in Defence procurement processes or in the sales of products into the Defence market is a plus
- Experience using applications such as Microsoft CRM as a primary sales tool
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Able and willing to travel internationally (air, sea, land) on a regular basis
