Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are currently searching for Senior Mechanical Engineers to increase the engineering capacity in our Subsea & Special purpose team. Our team develop, designs, deliver and maintain automated handling systems for deployment and recovery of manned and unmanned equipment and vehicles. The projects will vary from simple winch designs to complex winch and handling solutions including aftermarket upgrade projects.

In this role you will use your strong knowledge in deck handling equipment to contribute to develop and deliver the handling systems for the future. Our wide range of products will give you possibilities to personal development as a member of a highly skilled team.


Key accountabilities

  • Mechanical design and verification of winches and handling equipment
  • Provide technical capability and experience related to the products.
  • Contribute to product maintenance and development, including technical documentation.
  • Provide engineering support to activities related to manufacturing, purchase, and quality.
  • Provide engineering support to our Sales and Contract Management teams.
  • Collaborate with our aftermarket organization on product issues and contribute to the resolution of customer issues.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Mechanical education at higher professional degree, bachelor level or master level, and / or relevant experience.
  • Additional hydraulic or structural calculation experience/competence is an advantage.
  • Strong competence in mechanical 3D-design, preferably including FEA experience.
  • Experience in use of PLM Tools – where Teamcenter is preferred.
  • Good understanding of project requirements, flow through supply chain, manufacturing and service is preferred.
  • Work experience from projects in the maritime industry is an advantage.
