Sales Manager Benelux

The Sales Manager Benelux reports to the VP Sales of Benelux & France and helps us meet our targets by ensuring strong customer relations, working effectively with yards, owners and partners to sell and promote Kongsberg Maritime products and solutions. Kongsberg Maritime has a broad product portfolio, and we`re looking for a person ready for a next step on the career ladder and who is able to understand customer demands and effectively position our products and systems accordingly. As a provider of products and system solutions, our ambition is to cross-sell and up-sell to our customers and promote the right level of offerings. The team based in The Netherlands works closely with product and sales experts at HQ, and together our global teams provide excellent customer knowledge and relations combined with deep product and system knowledge.

 

Key accountabilities:

• Built and maintain customer relations

• Preparation of quotations and manage contract negotiations

• Develop sales and customer strategies for our products and solutions

• Order intake, budget, prognoses short and long term

• Managing and reporting on the day-to-day performance of and deliver reviews in conformity with internal processes and procedures

•Ensuring the correct usage and compliance of CRM and other sales applications

 

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering / commercial or similar

• Three to five years hands-on direct sales experience within the maritime industry is essential

• Good understanding of Marine control system, Vessel automation, Digital solutions,

• Established Network in the Benelux market

• Understanding of vessel automation, ship machinery & propulsion systems

• Experience in customer negotiation, sales and commercial processes

• Awareness of relevant industries / competitors

• Knowledge of working with CRM Business Systems

• Ability to multi-task and manage any sales pressure successfully

• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English. French is an advantage
