Process Improvement Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Process Improvement Manager in Kongsberg Maritime. You will lead the process improvement work the Integrated Solutions division using the ISACA CMMI® Dev framework. In this role you should be an excellent and enthusiastic communicator, understand change management and show strong professional expertise.

As our Process Improvement Manager, you will continuously seek to optimize through improving our productivity, find opportunities, reduce rework, and increase our pace of software, project and product development. These are all vital parts in our technology development with the aim to create a more sustainable society. We are passionate about maintaining the health of the oceans and the world in which we live, through our product, solutions and ways of working, and as such we play a key role in solving the global and environmental climate challenges we face.

Key accountabilities

  • Coordinate the Process Improvement Board consisting of the Integrated Solutions Management team and process owners. You will coordinate the activities and drive the implementation of CMMI® framework in a continuous loop
  • Identify areas of opportunities, secure adequate assessments, and reporting
  • Support process tailoring from top-level, down to practical implementation from our Business Management Systems
  • Secure lesson learned across our Integrated Solutions division, within Kongsberg Maritime and across Kongsberg Group.
  • Stakeholder management and communication: Work closely with process owners and the business to develop and maintain effective and efficient processes

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in software design, systems engineering, computer science or information systems
  • It is considered an advantage if work experience in software development and software quality assurance, as well as knowledge of the CMMI ® Dev model & framework
  • Preferably working experience from functional safety, internal audits, project management and process tailoring
  • Interest in software quality methodologies, tools, processes, and problem solving
  • Working experience or certification in Lean/Six Sigma
