IT Engineer (Network)

Overview of the position

To be a 3rd level resource in KONGSBERG IT focusing on Network team supporting users worldwide and local (KMSGP) matters. The IT Engineer will be reporting under the Regional Service Center – Asia (RSC-A) located in Singapore.



  • Responsible for ticket handling under the Network team queue

  • Be a single point of contact for ITC’s on Network-related matters in cooperation with Site & Onsite Support department

  • To contribute to KONGSBERG IT in maintaining and monitoring the global network IT infrastructure world-wide including the maintenance of:

    • Proxy Administration

    • Firewall Administration

    • WhatsUp Gold Administration

    • Wifi & Network Administration

  • Attend the Network team meeting.

  • Be trained and be able to support new Network system or application, if there’s any

  • Contribute to Service Desk and local support in KM Singapore if needed

  • Any ad-hoc assignment / task assigned from time to time



  • Degree in Information Technology / equivalent

  • Experience in any of the following is an added advantage:

    • Networking (LAN< WAN< WLAN, Routing, Firewalls, VPN, WAC, Remote Access)

    • Monitoring (COP Manager, WhatsUp Gold, Procurve Manager SmartEvent

    • IT Security (Cascade, SharkArcSight, Eventia)

    • Must have extensive or Senior experience and knowledge 

  • Must have extensive or Senior experience and knowledge in the related field

  • Service minded, customer focused, team player

  • Good communication and problem solving skills
