Full Stack Developer

We seek a Full Stack Developer with passion for software and digital solutions to join our team going forward towards a more sustainable and green maritime future.

Our department is located at Grilstad, Trondheim, where we design and develop state-of-the-art applications and cloud solutions for the maritime industry and high-end sensor systems for demanding environments. We have an experienced team within hardware and software development, engineering, analysis, and mechanical construction.  

In this position you will be part of our SW development team and act as a qualified developer and adviser supporting different kinds of platforms, environments and software for new and existing sensors, sensor systems and bringing sensor data to cloud. We are in an ongoing process taking on Agile methodology in our software teams and you will participate in shaping future ways of working, run projects according to agile principles and provide superior support in developing and maintaining new and current products in our portfolio.

You will become part of a dedicated team of R&D engineers developing and maintaining world-class sensor products for a broad range of maritime applications. You will be working as a full-stack developer using C# and .NET Core for back-end and Angular with Typescript for front-end. You will together with System Architect contribute in organize and facilitate teams’ activities.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Working together with our team to develop high-quality software
  • Exploring and implementing new technologies and methods
  • Front- and back-end design and development
  • Passion for Scrum or equivalent development technologies
  • Working together with product owners to prototype new functionality
  • Collaboration with other software teams
  • Help us shape and improve how we work together as teams

 

Education and skills

  • Relevant technical university degree, e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ICT or other degrees that includes programming. Relevant experience may compensate for a formal degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is desirable.
  • Interested in Agile methodologies e.g. - Scrum, DevOps, Kanban and Lean
  • Guide and develop flexible working methods in teams and in the organization.
  • Experience with facilitation from agile teams, certification as Scrum Master is an advantage
