Our Field Service Engineers are the face of KONGSBERG. You’ll interact with diverse cultures, build relationships, and leave a lasting impression on our global clientele. Your main task will be traveling, you will do installation and commissioning of Underwater Acoustic systems on vessels and in shipyards around the world. As well as offer in-house technical support and remote service to external and internal customers when not traveling.

Key accountabilities

  • Commissioning, maintenance, and service jobs worldwide
  • Technical support and on-call/remote service
  • Average travel days per year in the department is 120 days

Qualifications and experience

  • Preferably bachelor’s in electronics/instrumentation/computer science. Experienced and non-experienced engineers are encouraged to apply
  • Proficient IT and network skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian
  • Highly motivated for worldwide support activitie
