Field Service Engineer Autonomy vessels

An incredible opportunity awaits you as Field Service Engineer for autonomy vessels. You will be a part of Global Customer support’s new group for unmanned vessels. In this role, you will be part of a team with highly skilled engineers who assist each other and co-operate well with professional challenges and contribute towards common goals. Your workday will consist of a mix between field service onboard or in the Remote Operation Center. The job will also consist of technical support and remote support from your office base.

We're seeking a proactive Field Service Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to unmanned vessels, providing technical support, collaborating across departments, and demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Field service and technical support to KM’s remote and Autonomy customers.
  • Assist other departments with technical assistance for commissioning and test.
  • Contribute to develop our Autonomy solutions for the future.
  • Close co operation with other departments for a holistic support to our customers.
  • Some travel will be required.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Automation, with additional higher education from technical or maritime universities highly valued. We also encourage newly graduates to apply.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IT and network skills.
  • Technical work experience can be considered as a valuable alternative to formal education.
  • Previous maritime experience is advantageous.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong motivation to support customers in their operations.
