Commercial Manager, Procurement

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to support our Procurement function. You will provide expertise within a cross-divisional, multinational team. You will work closely with your colleagues in Procurement to secure the best deals with our Suppliers worldwide. You will identify and mitigate risks in contracts, monitor the regulations and update our contract templates accordingly. In addition, you will help Procurement with the negotiation and settlement of claims to and from our Suppliers.

  • Lead and support the Procurement team in complex contract negotiations with suppliers in Norway and globally.
  • Ensure that existing contract templates for Global Procurement are in line with both business expectations and legal requirements.
  • Provide training and coaching in terms of contracting principles.
  • Interface with internal specialist departments, such as Finance or Compliance, to obtain advice and guidance to develop pragmatic solutions to support the business.
  • Manage/negotiate the resolution of claims, disputes, and litigations to minimise cost and risk to Kongsberg Maritime.
  • Provide advice as required on the flow-down of customer terms and conditions to the supply chain.

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree in law, business or similar.
  • Proven success in difficult contract negotiations.
  • Fluent in communication Norwegian and English.
