We are building on the successful SiteCom platform with a new commercial release that enhances SiteCom’s already class-leading robustness and brings a whole new level of functionality to Discovery Web, something we are calling the Discovery Web + module.
Discovery Web + includes the first suite of ‘value-add’ tools we have offered to the SiteCom user base as a package: It features the new Discovery 3DTM, Discovery FormulasTM and Discovery MapsTM modules, all designed to enhance the SiteCom user experience and provide enhanced drilling operation benefits.
Discovery 3DTM
Discovery 3D brings a whole new dimension to SiteCom, allowing users to view down-hole data in 3D. With more and more complex wells being drilledit is important to be able to visualize the wellbores in their true spatial position to understand how any anomalies or features seen in one well might be related to neighbouring boreholes.
Discovery FormulasTM
Discovery Formulas offers a range of new functionality for SiteCom users to enable calculations to be run automatically on real-time data. By supporting standard notations it is simple to import any proprietary formulas which can then be shared with other users if desired. No more exporting to excel!
Discovery MapsTM
Using Google Maps and generic ESRI based layers, Discovery Maps enables users to create a simple overview of all of their company’s operations.
Other new functionality includes Discovery Data EditTM, designed to enable greater power and flexibility for handling data, improved Display Management and Crossplotting, Filtered Backplotting, Multiple Wellbore Support and Aggregation on Curves.
This software release also includes the first version of SiteCom Monitor which is critical to ensure that SiteCom systems are performing as expected and will enable our operations support centres to ensure that the dataflow through system is running as expected. This release moves SiteCom forwards another level and is the first bringing value-add features to the users. Turning the data to information to allow decisions to be made efficiently is the key to SiteCom’s future success so we are all really excited about this milestone release.
