Offshore field developments are now taking place further from land, in deeper water and in harsher environments. At the same time, both longer and larger diameter flowlines are being used. In order to gain both real-time and offline analysis, Multiphase Flow Simulations provide the ability to analyse optimal flow line diameter, limit slugging and pressure losses and modelling of thermal insulation techniques and chemical inhibitor use.
