Basic Process & Control Simulator

The Basic Process & Control Simulator is designed for teaching the students basic process knowledge. It provides dynamic responses to student input and will improve understanding of process control as well as enhance the understanding of simple heat- and mass transfer processes and shortening the overall learning time.

The models are focused on the operation of typical process equipment and common control schemes. The student can perform a range of actions such as opening and closing valves, changing controller setpoints controllers and operating an individual piece of process equipment. Students can also see data sheets and real life images of equipment modelled in the simulator. All boundary conditions (temperature, pressure, composition, etc.) are fully user definable a predefined set of process
parameters can be changed by the student.
