Our attitude to ethics
KONGSBERG's Code of Ethics emphasises that all co-workers and the Group's Board of Directors shall maintain high ethical standards in the performance of their duties. The Code of Ethics will also be distributed to all our partners. We expect them to live up to the same ethical standards as we expect of ourselves.
Efforts to generate enthusiasm and to encourage an open discussion about ethics and ethical dilemmas are high on the agenda at KONGSBERG. In 2009 and 2010, we focused on training in ethics, and we will continue with implementing systems and guidelines for compliance and following up the Code of Ethics.
Revised corporate Code of Ethics
KONGSBERG's Code of Ethics was revised and approved by the corporate Board of Directors in January 2011. The initial version was published in August 2004, and our standards and expectations have changed since then. When preparing the latest version, we assessed and took into account the general trends in this field, studied 'best practice' and incorporated new requirements posed by our principal shareholder. This version contains a number of amendments and clarifications relative to the previous issue.
