Norspace wins order from Space Systems/Loral for TCR equipment

Horten, Norway, October 2011 - Norspace AS® has won an order from Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) for delivery of Telemetry Command and Ranging (TCR) products for the Thor-7 satellite that SS/L is building for Norway’s Telenor Satellite Broadcast. Under the contract, Norspace will supply Telecommand Receivers, Telemetry Transmitters and Beacon Transmitters. This is Norspace’s largest order so far for TCR equipment for a commercial telecom satellite. Previously, Norspace has won orders from SS/L for delivery of TCR equipment to six SS/L-built satellites.

Norspace started to develop TCR products in 2006 and is targeting to become a major player in the market for commercial telecom satellites with its TCR products.
