Riser Management Technology

Riser Management Technology (RMT) is a SeaFlex department working with software development related to SeaFlex Engineering services. One of our main target areas is Integrity Management solutions such as Work-Over Fatigue Monitoring System.

Our IM solutions provide web based solutions for online analysis, integration with SAP and encapsulates SeaFlex engineering services. In co-operation with Kongsberg Maritime SeaFlex delivers Riser Management Systems for optimized operation of drilling an work-over risers.

  • Use the drilling riser as an instrument to determine position relative to the well head
  • Use upper and lower riser inclination measurements in combination with an accurate dynamic computer model of the riser and advanced estimating techniques

  • Centralized web based system for optimized maintenance based on fatigue indications
  • Integrated with ECM systems such as SAP
  • Could be interfaced to RMS or directly to strain measuring devices, vessel response, environmental data etc
  • Capable of handling RFID tags for automatic generation of tallies
  • Will be implemented for Statoil in 2007
